How to Prevent Red Ring of Death on Your Xbox 360 in 2 Easy Steps

Most if gamer which playing Xbox 360 have RRoD problem which become nightmare to them and this RRoD mainly due to overheating problem. RRoD mostly happened on old Xbox 360 (also no news reported for Xbox 360 Jasper version)  not on Xbox 360 Slim. Can we avoid this RRoD problem on Xbox 360 fat version? can we play Xbox 360 without worried RRoD problem? There is always solution of every problem including this RRoR problem, but before we avoiding RRoD problem you should know that cause RRoD problem. Let me share it.

When Xbox 360 have RRoD problem?

Xbox 360 have overheats problem, i wonder how engineer in Microsoft designing Xbox 360 because this console have bad cooler system and can generate overheat expecially in GPU and CPU because this 2 chip play important rule when Xbox 360 is running. When this heat keep inside Xbox 360 for long time it will broke connection between GPU/CPU and its motherboard. This which make RRoD problem. Some gamer try to re-heated (re-baked) Xbox 360 so that this connection will bad to normal again.

RRoD can happened due to several aspect, but mostly due to Solder Joint on GPU- due to lack of air circulation system and very small of head sink in GPU.

How to prevent RRoD
Here some things that I do to prevent this from happening:

The most important is to keep  your Xbox 360 have good air circulation, don't put it in a box where hot air cannot flow perfectly. Put in in a floor or solid surface don't put it (example in your bed) because you will make your Xbox 360 baked). If you think your Xbox 360 need more air circulation add more fan the console ( you can locate it at the back of console) or modify your current fan voltage from 5 volt to 12 volt

Some RRoD problem also cause by dust so make sure your game CD is free of dust and dirt. Make sure your game CD's are clean, dusty and dirty CD can cause friction between the Xbox 360 and games cause disk read errors and maybe a problem with the laser disc tray. Make sure your game CD is free of dust and dirt

Good news is not all Xbox 360 can RRoD problem, Xbox 360 Jasper version and above (Xbox 360 slim) no RRoD reported until now so you can play Xbox 360 without worrying for RRoD problem. This RRoD problem assume that you play Xbox 360 at normal condition, example  most console will have overheating problem if you play it inside a box with high temperature
